Brief Bio

Dr. Charles Bonner was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, in a non Christian home. He received Christ as saviour at the age of 8 years old but he did not faithfully serve the Lord until he was 19.

Chuck graduated from high school in 1967 and went to Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Chuck was drafted in January 1968, then joined the U.S. Navy, and was Honorably discharged 28 August 1968.

Dr. Bonner has earned a Bachelor of Theology; Master of Arts in Biblical Studies; Master of Divinity, from Louisiana Baptist Theological seminary. He also has earned a Doctor of Christian Ministry and Doctorate in Theology from Salt Lake Baptist College.

He has been in the ministry for 54 years, pastoring in Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa and Washington State. He also has served as a youth director, assistant pastor and senior pastor. Dr. Bonner has started 3 churches in Wisconsin (one as a mission work out of the church he pastored). His last pastorate was at Bible Baptist Church of Selah, Wa. for 20 & 1/2 years.

In 2006, he was employed by the U.S. Army as a part time Chaplain, serving at that post for 13 years as the Chaplain at the Yakima Training Center. Chaplain Bonner has counciled many soldiers, held chapels, prayer lunches, funerals and also seminars on PTSD. He has authored a book dealing with PTSD which is “Faith based.”

Dr. Bonner currently lives in Ocala, Florida and is in Evangelism. He is based out of Central Baptist Church of Ocala, Fl. Over the years: Chuck has preached revivals; missions conferences; pulpit supply; and is a soul winner. He has also preached the Gospel on TV and radio for over 30 years. For the last 18 years of his ministry, he hosted a national “Soul Winning Conference” in Selah, Washington, and also preached at several national conferences over the years. He is also a board member of Salt Lake Baptist College with 12,000 online students.
